Fall Poker Run Tomorrow!
The Friends of Hocking Hills State Park 4th Annual Fall Poker Run is Saturday, October 5. The weather looks beautiful; we’ve got a great route planned, great door prizes, and new WILDCARD stops! This year’s Run will begin and end at the Hocking Hills Dining Lodge.
At the end of the run, between 3:00 pm-5:00 pm at the Lodge, there will be live music with Delta and Piedmont Blues by Hocking Hills native, Micah Kesselring. There will be a 50/50 drawing, raffle for a $1,000+ Weekend Getaway, and great food and drinks. Please join us then, even if you are not taking part in the Poker Run.
And…Don’t forget, you can always do the Run in your car if you don’t have a bike!

Call for Nominations
The Friends Nomination Committee is conducting a call for nominations to the Friends 2014 Board of Directors. If you or someone you know is willing to dedicate the time and energy necessary to lead our organization to the next level, we encourage you to complete and return the nomination form provided. Board positions (three-year terms) are open to all Friends members in good standing.
Service to the Friends group in a leadership capacity is an honor, a challenge, and a serious promise to your organization. It is demanding, yet fulfilling; it is time consuming, yet rewarding. We invite you to give serious consideration to helping the Friends of Hocking Hills State Park accomplish its strategic goals and realize its potential. You may recommend yourself or another FHHSP member for possible election to the Board of Directors by completing and submitting the Nomination Form.
The nomination period opened October 1. 2013, and will close on November 8, 2013. Nominations must be received by that date to be considered for the slate of candidates. The slate of candidates will be compiled by the Nominations Committee and submitted to the Board of Directors.
All Friends members in good standing will receive voting instructions, candidate information, and a ballot prior to the election at our November 22, 2013 Annual Meeting.
